Sweet Sixteen Party
June 10, 2011
Even though my birthday was yesterday, my party was a week ago. I did this because a lot of my friends take off to go home to faraway countries or to the States right after school ends and I wanted them to be at my party. It took a bit of planning and we didn't know how smoothly it would go because some people weren't sure if they could come or how long they could stay but we went for it and expected the unexpected.
It was a blast and almost all of the girls came! We had a great time talking, eating, doing activities, taking pictures and then after some girls left the rest of us got kinda silly. We danced to the songs that the girls picked out for me (I asked for that instead of presents) and laughed at each other's silly moves. It was really nice to create some final fun memories with my closest friends. I am so thankful for the impact that each one has had on my life and it was really hard to say goodbye. It is such a comfort to know that I will see most of them for my senior year and if not then, someday in Heaven. It is my prayer that they all saw Christ in me and that my actions and words pointed them to the cross and the Savior on it.
Here are some pictures:

All of us at the table about to enjoy chicken salad

The tshirt they all signed for me

The delicious red velvet cupcakes

All the girls who came! I am so glad they did.
Great birthday!!

I am sixteen years old and in love with my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. I am young, but learning every day what it means to live out my faith. I used to be an MK in Germany while my parents worked at the Black Forest Academy but now I live in the Chicago area and attend Harvest Christian Academy. I also live with my younger siblings Allie and JT. Oh, and my cute golden retriever puppy Abbie. I love my life! I enjoy walks in the woods, jogging, long talks with friends, herbal tea, reading, laughing, pictures and doing something crazy every once in a while. But most of all, I love learning more about God and spending time with Him. I have hopes, dreams, faults and feelings which is why this blog is here- a place for me to express and share. Enjoy!
