Colossians 3:23-24
February 15, 2011 So sorry about the lack of posts- I keep writing them and then they get deleted!!! I hope to be writing more often.
I have been thinking about Colossians 3:23-24 a lot lately. Here is what it says: " Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." I have a really hard time having a good attitude about doing the dishes, homework, vacuuming or whatever else. I especially have a hard time doing a good job in my work, especially if I know that no one will notice. This verse sometimes comes to mind while I am grumbling and sometimes it makes me more mad while other times it makes me rethink my 'tude and do a better job. This is a lesson I really need to work on and I think these verses will really help. It really motivates me to know that I will be rewarded for hard work and whole-hearted service.

I am sixteen years old and in love with my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. I am young, but learning every day what it means to live out my faith. I used to be an MK in Germany while my parents worked at the Black Forest Academy but now I live in the Chicago area and attend Harvest Christian Academy. I also live with my younger siblings Allie and JT. Oh, and my cute golden retriever puppy Abbie. I love my life! I enjoy walks in the woods, jogging, long talks with friends, herbal tea, reading, laughing, pictures and doing something crazy every once in a while. But most of all, I love learning more about God and spending time with Him. I have hopes, dreams, faults and feelings which is why this blog is here- a place for me to express and share. Enjoy!
