Relax
January 23, 2011
Ok, I have to admit I can be pretty lazy sometimes. Like after 5 minutes of looking at my pile of homework or the mess on my floor I say to myself "I need a break, this is too much" and I proceed to read or stalk a blog or surf Itunes for the next 30 minutes. Then, I get really mad at myself for wasting all that time and I break down and have to take another break. I know, it's sad.
But, sometimes I really do need a break. Like after a long day at school and a really hard workout, I do need a break for a while to get enough mental strength to tackle a project. This weekend, I really needed a break. I had a really busy weekend last week and school did not give me a break so I was exhausted. I rested, watched movies, read, went for a few walks and did a few creative things. It was really good to stop and catch my breath. Sometimes I take too many breaks and I'm lazy but sometimes I need to remind myself to just relax. I truly believe that I am more likely to be loving, helpful, kind and understanding if I have had a few minutes to just breathe. If any of you are super busy just do yourself a favor and take a break. It's worth it, trust me!
Here is a picture from my walk this afternoon.

I like to think of the sun as my reward after I do the work of getting up the hill so to speak.
Hope you had a great weekend!

I am sixteen years old and in love with my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. I am young, but learning every day what it means to live out my faith. I used to be an MK in Germany while my parents worked at the Black Forest Academy but now I live in the Chicago area and attend Harvest Christian Academy. I also live with my younger siblings Allie and JT. Oh, and my cute golden retriever puppy Abbie. I love my life! I enjoy walks in the woods, jogging, long talks with friends, herbal tea, reading, laughing, pictures and doing something crazy every once in a while. But most of all, I love learning more about God and spending time with Him. I have hopes, dreams, faults and feelings which is why this blog is here- a place for me to express and share. Enjoy!
