Revive

Posted by Michaela Frantz on Tuesday, June 7, 2011,
This poem was also written on the same night as "Pieces". It just highlights my situation and it was when I realized that I really needed to just spend some time with the Lord. It definitely isn't my favorite cuz it doesn't quite flow but oh well.

Revive

Tired, stressed, sleep deprived
I think I need to be revived
I need to have a heart to heart
With the one who made me a work of art

I need some time in His word
So I can fly like a bird
I need to spend some time in prayer
To finally breathe some ...

Pieces

Posted by Michaela Frantz on Tuesday, June 7, 2011,
Here is another poem I wrote when I was dealing with information about the next few months that I really didn't like because it ruined all the hopes and plans I had. I was disappointed and very angry at both my parents and God. The next morning I had a great devotion time where God settled my heart and asked me to just trust Him. I really love how God meets us in the times we feel the most torn apart and He just covers us in His love and reassures us that He is doing what is best for us even ...

Trapped

Posted by Michaela Frantz on Tuesday, June 7, 2011,
This is a poem I wrote a few weeks ago when I was thinking about a habit/addiction that I have been dealing with for many years. I don't want the intensity of it to scare anyone because I am ok and I am working through it with God but my emotions were pretty strong at this point so that is what came out in this poem.

Trapped

trapped inside
can't get out
this feeling makes me want to shout

beating the walls again and again
when will this misery end?

searching for the Way
to put my tears at bay

failure,...

I did it

Posted by Michaela Frantz on Wednesday, March 30, 2011,
Here is a poem I wrote a few months ago about running:

its a feeling you can’t explain

when you’re running

                and running

                                and running

and you’re just about to hit your physical limit

then you see the finish line in the distance

you push harder

harder than you thought possible

and you struggle and push some more

until suddenly you’re done

 your breathing slows

 the feeling of nausea fades

Whirlwind

Posted by Michaela Frantz on Thursday, March 24, 2011,
I wrote this poem in my journal the morning after I found out we are moving back to the States this next school year. It was really random but I just kept writing what came to mind and I think it turned out nicely if I do say so myself.

Whirlwind
caught in a whirlwind
inside and out
life is chaos, my thoughts a storm
debris rushes by
barely missing my head
I wish time would stop
so I could catch up
caught in a whirlwind
where will I land?

Well I hope you enjoyed it!! Have an awesome Friday.

Favorite Bible Verses

Ephesians 2:8-10

"For it is by grace you have been saved through faith...not by works so that no man can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God created in advance for us to do."

Romans 12:1-3

"Therefore I urge you brothers to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will."

1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 13

" Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. "

Colossians 3:23-34

" Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

About Me

Michaela Frantz
Elgin, Illinois

Michaela Frantz I am sixteen years old and in love with my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. I am young, but learning every day what it means to live out my faith. I used to be an MK in Germany while my parents worked at the Black Forest Academy but now I live in the Chicago area and attend Harvest Christian Academy. I also live with my younger siblings Allie and JT. Oh, and my cute golden retriever puppy Abbie. I love my life! I enjoy walks in the woods, jogging, long talks with friends, herbal tea, reading, laughing, pictures and doing something crazy every once in a while. But most of all, I love learning more about God and spending time with Him. I have hopes, dreams, faults and feelings which is why this blog is here- a place for me to express and share. Enjoy!
